Pronto Espresso Bar

It is Youth Day today and Seehwei has the day off from her teaching attachment, so brought her out for lunch at a new place, since Coffee Bean was getting boring, haha.

This is my 2nd time at Pronto Espresso Bar, located at Paradiz. I initally felt that its very accessibility would render the cafe packed at lunctime, but it was surprisingly empty. We really liked the interior decor, with the creamy colours mixing well with the dark cherry wood furnishings, giving a cozy, chillout feel. The latin chillout music was refreshing, and we also caught Federer vs Nadal on a wall mounted flatscreen TV.

Besides the ambiance, the food was also good value for money. We ordered the Beef Stew and Cajun Chicken for $10.90 each and it comes with a drink! The coffee and cocca we had was delightfully decorated with a heart-shaped foam design, and we had lots of fun licking them off!
However, my only gripe was that the portions were a little small.

Service was perhaps average, as our orders took a while to be processed. But the option to have our drinks served later was good.

Overall, we had a good time talking and setting new directions for our relationship, so we'll definitely come back here in the future. Especially for me as its within walking distance to the School of Econs, haha.
