Food for Thought

Inconspicuously located right opposite the National Library at North Bridge Centre, Food for Thought is a small cafe established by group of young people - not just for the joy of serving their food creations, or for profits alone - but also for good causes. Social entrepreneurship in action. You can check out their website at http://www.foodforthought.com.sg/

Went there with Seehwei and Jiahui, and first impressions was friendly greetings from the staff and a general exuberance. Customers were chatting freely with the staff, although that made the cramped place slightly noisy. Not so good for a quiet read, but great with friends! Sitting is also an issue as I feel that the kitchen space is overly large, hence have to reserve seats if its a large group gathering.

Ordered a iced latte while SH got the mushroom soup. My drink was alright, for $3.50 while the mushroom soup (served in a large bowl) for $5 was too strong for my taste. SH liked the authenticity of it though. Most reviews gave good scores for their desserts, especially the Red Velvet Carrot Cake, which i'll be going back to try, haha.
